Info Session: Initiative Petition 2026-047
Following the implementation of HB 567 on August 28, 2025, the regulations regarding minimum wage and paid leave in Missouri have shifted. A new proposal, Initiative Petition 2026-047, is now circulating with the intent to enshrine specific wage mandates and sick leave requirements into the Missouri Constitution. We invite members to an overview of this petition. The speaker will outline the legal distinctions between the recent repeal of Proposition A and this new constitutional approach. Discussion points will include compliance requirements, the proposed $15/hr timeline, and the litigation risks associated with the petition’s enforcement mechanisms. We will also cover the current landscape of opposition and support efforts.
